Trace minerals play a crucial role in maintaining the overall health of the horse and of course, their hooves. These essential nutrients, such as copper, zinc, and selenium, are vital for various bodily functions, including immune system function, energy production, bone health, and hoof health. Most commercial feeds have a surplus of fillers and additives, and often times have added iron, which competes with copper and zinc for absorption (these are critical minerals for hoof health). Below I’ve listed some of my favorite iron and additive free trace mineral supplements to support healthy hoof growth.

Also, this is a great tool to avoid sleep deprivation due to chronic stomping throughout the night!
